The boy spends 90s whining and swearing following the team's slow pit stop. He then lunges at the end of the straight, only passing Hamilton's rear wheel under the braking zone, commits to an obvious no-space move, flies over a kerb and immediately says 'that's what you get when you don't leave space'. He is a dangerous driver, far too prone to the red mist descending, refuses to pull out of anything and will one day cause serious injury...The crash was 60% Max 40% Lewis. They could have both avoided it but ultimately its a racing incident. I don't think either driver should be punished for it. I do think it's ultimately a result that suits Red Bull as Mercedes had the slight edge. Good to see the McLaren boys complete a 1-2. They both drove well and had done good jobs earlier in the race. I can see there being a few more coming togethers before the season ends. Its up to McLaren and Ferrari to take advantage of these slips in their pursuit of 3rd in the Constructors.

Lewis has the lead entering the corner after taking a normal racing line after exiting the pit.
At that point, Verstappen attempts going around the outside as pictures above. For the move to be viable, he has to be at least level at that point to force Lewis to take the outside line into the following corner. As you can see by the below picture...

... he wasn't. At the point above, Verstappen should abandon the attempt and pull back. Instead, because of the red mist that has plagued his career, he decides to persist, despite knowing he had no place to go.
It's 100% Verstappen, because Hamilton has held the racing line and not deviated from it, nor was there any reason to deviate from it. And because Verstappen was angry, he would have killed a fellow driver today if not for the Halo.
