Strong stuff from Lewis Hamilton in the paddock, speaking to Sky Sports: "I'm really disappointed for the fans, obviously we can't control the weather and I love racing in the rain - but today was something else."The fans stayed out, they still had energy but they were robbed of a race today and deserve their money back.
"Money talks. And the two laps was a money scenario. Everyone gets their money back - and I think the fans should too. It's a shame we couldn't do the race tomorrow.
"Today wasn't a race. I think the sport made a bad choice today. This minimum of two laps you need to have a race, in the gap [between the 'race' stopping and resuming] it rained consistently. There was only one reason why they sent us out today."
If it is officially declared a race, do they need to give the ticket money back as Lewis alluded to? It's a farce and doesn't portray F1 in a good light.
On another note, I don't mind Russell and hope he does well; I can also, to an extent, understand why it might be important for Williams, but this is cringe worthy.

He's gone down another notch in my book celebrating that. I feel sorry for Norris as he might have deserved a win for putting it on pole but I still go with what I said earlier. Perhaps award points if you have to, give the fans their money back and most importantly don't award the victory to anyone and no podium celebrations that was not a race so how can it be classed as a grand prix.
I know there are quite a few fans that don't like Lewis. But I think he has it spot on today in terms what a farce it ended up being today. He actually probably benefited as he only lost 5 points to Max. If the race had been run in those conditions Max likely would have won and there would be quite a high chance of Lewis crashing out (and loads of other drivers too).

Indeed Lewis probably did benefit. I'm not Max's biggest fan but I truly believe that had Hamilton had got pole and 'won' that race I still would have been equally upset at what they did. I guess he would have been too as that is not how he would have wanted to get to his hundredth.
This is still boiling my blood, you can win a race without actually racing. It makes a mockery of winning a grand prix, all those people in the past that have died trying to get that 'W'. Ridiculous.

Absolute shocker that. Theyve made a bad call here. Award your half points for a 2 lap parade but dont charge the fans for it!

It shouldn't be on them but it would be good if all the teams came together to refund the fans.
As for the race it was a complete joke. As Karun Chandhok said, how can you award points for a race when the drivers aren't able to overtake. Absolute farce
