Evertonized

I have no connection to Liverpool, but my introduction to Everton was God sent.

I've only been a toffee since 2005.

It's a life commitment now & Everton is one of the few things I shed a tear for.

But after a decade of passionately following this team will any long term Evertonian give me something to believe in?

I know our history, but the one I'm living now is full deluded ambitions.

Oh no I

Pfft. 11yrs - first 40 are the worst, then the pain dulls. False hope is the Everton way...but sometimes, just sometimes, when they get it right it's worth the wait.

All a person needs to do to get the Everton bug is:

1. Read up on Evertons history. (Maybe read up on a few other top teams as well)
2. Watch a few Everton compilation vidoes/DVD's/Threads.
3. Go to a pub local to Goodison before a home game.
4. Go to a home game.
5. Go to an away game.
6. Live the dream!

Things are looking up at last!
Take mediocrity as the norm...Anything beyond that is a bonus. This is how I live life as an Evertonion, then your never really to disappointed ....till you lose 4 nil a the pit on a Wednesday night. ..the horrible b@stards

I was just born one, but have known at least two blues to change to reds over there spouses!

This can not happen. If they are reds they were never Blues, just masquerading as Blues out of their insecurity and low self esteem. These traits grew stronger when confronted by female adults, and they were de-masked. It's not a metamorphosis.
