its a youtube channel at least upload the Everton TV vids after a week at least... its stupid there not

Again, might not be financially worthwhile.

If you put videos on Youtube less people will go to the OS, and you can guarantee they make a lot more money from people viewing ads on the OS than they would from Youtube.

Having said that, it would be nice if the OS wasn't such a mess.

not really cos there probably all scousers its better to expand the brand worldwide

I doubt it's financially worthwhile, to be honest. All of the clubs you listed either have big worldwide fanbases or money to burn.

It depends what you're aiming for though I suppose. Everton might not make money off it, but online exposure and registered users is a currency that is traded already on the web. Facebook for example, used to value each user as a monetary figure.

I for one, would love to see / hear that Z-cars string interpretation before a video of something quite dull happening at Goodison. It would just interest me and make me feel more part of the club. Just a thought I suppose...

Here are a few teams with their subscriber numbers and channel views;

CHELSEA FC - 213,472 subscribers - 60,884,180 video views

LIVERPOOL FC - 146,365 subscribers - 19,600,658 video views

MANCHESTER CITY FC - 160,995 subscribers - 86,835,662 video views

FC BARCELONA - 833,855 subscribers - video views unstated I'll leave it to your imagination

I've brought this up before, it's important. I work in this area and it's not difficult to become a youtube partner. Even if everton were to use some of the footage they take, it's good just to have a presence. Youtube is owned by google and connected to google+. Now, although no one uses this social network yet, it is very important from a SEO point of view. If the club are relying on the internet for global promotions and sales, they need to be on top of stuff like this.

Heres the Google+ numbers for the clubs mentioned above

Chelsea FC - +3,202,970 followers
Liverpool FC - +1,570,871 followers
Manchester City FC - +1,426,783 followers
FC Barcelona - +4,437,824 followers
Everton FC - +788 followers

I know it doesn't bother alot of people but it annoys me as it doesn't take much to get this kind of thing right.

im on it and couldnt even find everton

this is such a summer thread

yea, that's the response I was expecting. The club has signed an exclusivity deal to sell all their merchandise online yet they don't seem to have a grasp of basic internet marketing. Surely if they were going to go for an exclusive online deal, they would be on top of this kind of thing. It doesn't take millions, a couple of keen interns could even make a difference. Unfortunately, ofr me, it's just another frustrating sign that the club is being mismanaged. Some of the content they produce is excellent and the campaigns are great but that all counts for very little if you are not fully utilizing all the right channels.

I don't know a single person who uses Google+

And again, all four of the other clubs have much bigger worldwide fanbases than we do.

Thank you, very well explained

With google+ it's not necessarily about the amount of people who use the network. Google pretty much run the internet and having a healthy presence on google+ is very important for rankings and general internet exposure. Everton already have the content, the stuff they post on twitter, Facebook and Everton TV. It's just a matter of becoming more active on googles platforms. From a sales point of view, its a no brainer. Villa don't have a bigger fan base than us yet they have 30,000 followers. City, as a club, are doing a great job engaging their global audience via online marketing. It's bound to pay off to some extent. Sorry if this is all very benign but it takes my mind off all the other stuff going on at the club!

Look up stdomingosEFC channel on you tube it's the best Everton one I have seen, think he's on this forum as well
