Everton Youth Teams Thread

i'd hope so, we're weak upfront and hornby seems to have been converted to a striker from a midfielder. sambou doesnt look that good and starts regularly
Nice win for the u18s. You took the words right outta my mouth! I was thinking after last night that Sambou looked poor up front , Henen and Dyson don't look the deal either , maybe we should go for young George Hirst. Great to see Hornby back and scoring again, he's got a bit of skill for such a big lad , just need to see if he's scoring because he's a big player for his age or if he can cut it against older U23s. Must be worth moving up when fully fit.

hornby in for u18s today for 1st game back in about 5 months and scored already. currently 1-1, nearly half time

No 13 R Astley caught my eye, no not the one and only, I'm sure those jokes will follow though, but Ryan Astley. He's a Welsh u16 international who's been working way up the Welsh age grades , we had about 5 players of a similar age with Wales at one time, he's the only one who's name I've seen lately though. Must be still at school so another of our 15/16 year olds . He played in the Youdan 16s tournament for us last month , and may have been captain , very little info on him or u16s , which is fine , pointless getting excited at this age...............but Anthony Gordon looks exciting :)

Think that was Chesney Hawkes

Before Saturday Fraser Hornby had been called up to Scotland's U19s squad who are playing two internationals in the next week. He played U19s last season for them. The Scotland squads between U19s - u21 are pretty weak, and if he does well I'd expect him to be called up to their u21s under age. These international games should work in our favour, allowing him to get game time as he comes back to full fitness.
Nathan Broadhead has been called up to the Wales u21 .
