Gordon's assist for the third was beautiful, but the phrase "defence splitting pass" was coined for Kerr's ball for the second. Got to love the how positive he was when he picked the ball up too.

Think Zirkzee may have been there as it looked like he was handed a medal at the end.

Cant be bad for him to get a medal if hes deciding on joining...still very bizarre if he hasn't signed?

Really like Gordon, seemed to have a lovely sense of space and footballing brain.

Albeit the opposition wasn't great.

So hard to tell with youth players, no super obvious Rooney types but some very nice footballers.

That 16 year old American GK is huge, he Towers above Ellis Simms even , and looks even taller than Zirkzee.

...it does look like him, but I played the presentation ceremony back and one of the coaches could be mistaken for Zirkzee, similar height and hair style. I'd like that to be him but I also have doubts.

We can pretty much field 2 excellent youth teams now:

Hewlet
Robinson Foulds Connolly Kenny
Dowell Walsh Williams Davies
Lookman DCL

Gray
Gibson Pennington Feeney Jones
Bowler Grant Baningime Donkor
Evans Henen

Thats without mentioning Mathis, Lavery, Sambou, Byrne, Dyson, Broadhead, Charsley, Bramall and Kiersey.

Or any of the U18 team who just won their tournament.

I could see 7-10 of those players playing PL football and another 5 making a living out the game as a minimum.

Even the likes of Dyson and Grant have had successful loans in the lower leagues.

Missing the Dutch kid that was signed of the above as well. Need to ensure we keep a path to the first team open for the best players. From the above list I'd say the likes of Kenny, Connolly, DCL, Lookman and Dowell are already part of the first team squad.

The next in line would seem to be the likes of Walsh, Williams and maybe Robinson.

The new signings and the likes of Evans, Baningime and Sambou will need an excellent season in the 23s to be in line for a call up.
