Everton Youth Teams Thread

Well done Calvert-Lewin. Didn't shy away from anything tonight.
Well done indeed, getting a PL debut is great for him, and he was certainly prepared to have a go in the aerial battles. He won that vital corner, was up there again when the corner came over , Koscelny was up there with him marking him and as a result Williams had the space to score with his header. And a headed clearance from defence. Still a lot to learn on where to run to and when etc but plenty of time to develop.

delighted for calvert lewin.seems to have a great jump on him.thought a bit at times barkley and seamie were a bit reluctant to give him the ball but that could have been in my head and understandable to even if that was the case.happy out for him and hopefully we see a few more get their chance before the end of the season.

With talk of Charlton wanting Lookman back on loan if we sign him, I wonder if that'd be a good opportunity for maybe Dowell to go out and get some first team football. Charlton are currently 11th in league one so they must have a fairly competitive squad. Unless the club would be looking at a championship loan for him, but given his form hasn't been great so far this season maybe league one would be about right.

I literally just remembered we signed that Coventry lad Sambou in the summer. I don't remember seeing him on any teamsheets...has he been playing?

Not sure we should be sending anyone on loan to Charlton - they are a bit of a car crash at the minute. Have been going through managers like confetti. Dowell could really do with a loan though as he hasnt kicked on from last season which is a real shame because he is one I have high hopes for. Think we will let a few go out in January though as some of the younger players like Broadhead haven't had the gametime this year due to older players taking up positions.

EVERTON u18s won 2-0 via 2 Evans goals v stoke, that has put the u18s 1 point behind 4th placed Blackburn, and only 4 points from 2nd place with 2ND- 5TH playing the same amount of games at this point, the u18s also and remain unbeaten in 12 games

TOP OF TABLE

MAN CITY 34 POINTS FROM 14 GAMES
MAN UTD 30 POINTS FROM 15 GAMES
LIVERPOOL 30 POINTS FROM 15 GAMES
BLACKBURN 27 POINTS FROM 15 GAMES
EVERTON 26 POINTS FROM 15 GAMES

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The u23s play Bilbao at home next week were even a win looks very unlikey or pretty much certain, unless its a massive score,to NOT get the u23s to the next stage,MEANING WE WILL GO OUT THAT COMP ON WEDNESDAY

When you consider our start to to season, that is really impressive to be in the mix now. Real credit to the coaches and players.
