That’s the second or third time we’ve seen Divine Madueke on a team sheet, is there any confirmation that he’s moved over from spurs fully/signed a pre scholarship with us?

I think my main gripe at youth level is the seemingly lack of a strategy to develop players for possible first team inclusion. You look at the very best academies like Barcelona and Ajax and they have a strategy and pathway running throughout the club. We just seem to employ ex players and play turgid football for the most part at youth level which seems to me to be made up as they go along. But you have a better insight into our youth set up as you watch us play more so I'm encouraged that you think Tait is trying things out with our better youth

Surely playing turgid football at youth level is actually the perfect strategy to prepare players for our first team?

One thing to keep an eye on this summer is what happens with Coleman. If he is serious about going into coaching, the youth team coaches might get shuffled around to open up a spot for him.

I heard a couple of months ago that Seamus is coming on to the coaching staff and Baines is moving away from Everton but nothing substantial to that claim and obviously it would only be true if Moyes is kept on.

Another Clean sheet today for Barnsley out on loan at Marine. Solid performance, made a great tip over the bar from a close header and received a yellow during the game.
