Everton Youth Teams Thread

A very late move by Aberdeen but they had until 11pm . They’re now pursuing an out on contract player, maybe we should do the same and release Welch from his contract which ends in June. In fairness to him he played well for the u21s the other night , as you’d expect at 22, so maybe we keep him to add experience to the u21s.

If we gave Welch a four year contract when he turned 18 we should be giving Graham a new four year contract now he’s 18.

They’re in Burslem , Stoke , a scary place best avoided. I was there once, coached attacked by fans and a bunch of Stoke fans had turned up to taunt the Port Vale fans. My brother said he considered himself working class until he drove through Burslem and decided he’s really middle class.
Got a mate from Stoke, who lives over here in Dublin. Claims that the Nazi's flew over Stoke and thought someone had already bombed it 🤣

…I do like England U15 on a CV, its schoolboy international tradition and i like it as a sign of genuine pedigree.
These days though they have so many camps and tournaments that they can have 50 or so players involved in any one year, many disappear without trace . We had Will Apter ,( brother of ex Academy player Matty and Rob who’s played at Championship and League 1 level) , involved in December , scored in one u15 match , captain in the next , not in the squad now. He could have disappeared into our injury black hole though.

Iirc There was a scout on twitter who kept a spreadsheet of all the England camps throughout the age groups and the strikerate on who even makes it professionally or top flight is really low until you make it to about u19ish.

Important to remember as well that Harrison Armstrong never made a camp at all til 18s
