Think you need to relax. I think he’s brilliant but we play with one striker and he can’t do that.

….and even the KDH ‘no10’ role doesn’t look ideal.

natural goalscorer, but scores different types of goals. ‘Johnny on the spot’ in the box, put the ball in space behind the back four and he runs away from defenders and invariably finishes (as per his goals last night but not sure you get many of them in top flight). Terrific attitude, looks like he loves playing and not afraid of physicality of bigger players. Technically very good in possession, can come deep receive the ball and spin.

I just don’t think he leads the line at top level, support striker seems ideal but we don’t play with one. He won’t shirk from hard work. Richarlison played plenty for us in a wide position, maybe that’s the best fit.

I’d be massively disappointed if he doesn’t get a chance at some point to Everton given his talent but I just don’t think it happens in our system.

Think people need to pump the brakes a bit, he's a fantastic goalscoring talent but he's tiny and would get flattened in the prem right now.

The club know that and are keeping hold of him to have full control over his physical development, probably doesn't even get a loan out until next season let alone start playing in the 1st team squad

Great to have a other young talent to keep an eye on though!

Yeh just not in our 4-2-3-1 or whatever it is. Maybe the sort of 3-4-2-1 we ended Leeds with would be better as one of the two narrow attackers behind Barry.

Right, so where does he play in our current system

Hmm I hear what you're saying but maybe his size is what helps him be so promising with the balance and acceleration he has. Beefing him up and you'll have the danger of him losing those attributes or dulling them. There's no reason why we can't play him coming off the wide position with a license to roam though having an attacking full back overlapping him would be required

….i do think he could fit into the wide role that Richarlison filled so effectively. It’s not a conventional winger, it means he’s hitting the box regularly and often not getting picked up.

Even watching McNeil, he’s almost inverted in that he’s got a specific job depending on the opposition. I do think there’s scope in a wide position to accommodate him.

I'll always remember Shankly giving Dennis Law his debut when Dennis was still 16 years old. " If hes good enough then hes old enough". And in those days there was not even referees and the ball had to weigh 10 lbs.

….agree, he won’t shirk what he has to do without the ball but will give us an attacking boost.

Looks a fabulous player at that level and massive potential to make it at premier league level under the right attacking coach.
He won’t fit into a ‘Moyes system’, whatever that is.
