Tamen was brilliant I can see why Eggs is a fan

….injury ravaged last season but sometimes a player just looks right and I really liked what I saw of him. I also liked the interview he gave shortly after joining when he said he was determined to make the most of the opportunity he’s been given and make his family proud.

A bit left field but I was happy to put him up as my player to watch this season before a ball was kicked.

First half tonight a long ball was played into the opposition striker and Tamen took it on his chest (as opposed to heading it clear), unusual to see at this level but little things like that suggests he has something.

Able to read the line as well and stay onside, that timing (and as you say movement) is a skill.

….probably about 10st, so there’s no physical advantage you get from players in age restricted football. Everything you see from him is about football intelligence, quality and application. He’s a talent.

….movement off the ball is impressive, in the lead up to that 1st goal he’s dropping deep then playing on the shoulder. Robbie Keane vibes for me but some of his movement is Rooney-like.

The best forwards just have the quality and economy of movement in and around the box.

I remember as an under 18, I was marking a lad in a training game who was a year older and had been with a PL teams academy, but dropped down to play at our level. What struck me was he was constantly moving 2-3 yards in and around the box to just get an angle. He'd.jisy be watching the ball, anticipating where it would go. Another level to most players I played against really.
