carry on softshite. It’s hyperbole when someone is claimed to be some amazing asset to the club based on nothing and imply people don’t know what their having forced them out the door, when in reality it’s someone moving on to a different job which is mega common in academy football.

21s are playing tonight in Southport in the penultimate game of their PL2 campaign. International cup qualis are on the line. Will the club ever bother to let us know? Who knows!

I'm sure they do as much as they can but more needs to be done for clubs to help these released young players etc.

I think one of the major stumbling points is wages, the kids at under 18 level for us will be more on what the main lads at Tranmere and Morcombe are on.

If there was some sort of 'wage supplement' scheme......although not perfect as the older more experienced players (and likely higher contributing) players would be on less than a young kid just emerging in pro football.

Its a brutal part of the game, but i suppose that's why its so lucrative if you succeed, even at a lower level, you need to be strong mentally, physically and lucky to make it at any level
