Everton Youth Teams Thread

Totally fair. I think that’s changing quickly though.
I live in a small/mid size city in Canada where footie is NOT a thing at all, and even our local amateur youth club have started using drones etc. I doubt the data is readily available, but I would expect a premier league powerhouse to have considerably more pull and resources to get their hands on it if they wanted to.
Just seemed like such a ridiculous and sensationalized headline when even the most basic technological advancements have made having that many staff on the books redundant.
The thing is 300 staff was definitely not an exaggeration because these aren't full time scouts. They're often youth team coaches who will get a dropsy for when we sign a player. Then you've got pro ones who have to cover 100s of clubs at the pro level across 10 age groups. None will be full time or even part time employed which is why you need literally hundreds of them because you can't possibly cover everywhere otherwise.

It makes sense why we've dropped the numbers that starkly because we were banned from signing academy players and then subsequently closed a part of the academy with funding issues. It's actually quite amazing that we've still got a decent academy.

Another start for Graham, been a busy boy of late.
