Everton Youth Teams Thread

Probably won't be a popular post, at least in other threads, but I think if there is anything positive to come out of this utter disaster of a season it's our young players. Davies, Beni, Lookman, Kenny, Holgate, DCL, Vlasic have done well for us. Some of them have performed better than others and all have made their mistakes but none of them have hidden or shirked from anything like some of our senior players have. In that sense they've been a credit and they will be learning a hell of a lot from this period, which will benefit them in future and hopefully the club too.

I agree. Just mentioned in beni thread that only positive from Unsworths 4 games in charge. Right attitude from young lads is exactly what we need to get us out of this mess

2 wins from 2 in the premier league cup now for Everton who top the 4 team group,we have pretty much confirmed our place in next round with that win,[should be official tomorrow]-Mampala set one fo Hornbys goals up

Was listening to an episode of the blueroom extra, on the academy. Guy on the show talking up Hornby, said he had everything, been unlucky with injuries.

Expects him to be with the 23’s by the new year

No mention of any of our talented kids so far in this list and we are down to the final 30. I think Kenny & Calvert Lewin are to old for it but the likes of Davies, Lookman, Dowell are all elligible
Note: Woodburn and ovie ejaria already in hte list for the r/s (despite the latter not getting past a few of our kids in the u20 world cup team).
to be honest i can see all ours being over looked and Trent AA in the top 10

Think Dowell and Lookman just missed out on their age criteria (by days in both cases).
