England U17 and Lewis Gibson through to quarter-finals vs USA.

George Weah's son Tim is one of a very talented US forward line with Carleton (best player probs), Sargent and Akinola.

Highlights of USA's Round of 16 game:

From a USA perspective, our present is bleak, but the future is very bright. This group is potentially special, and mix in Pulisic, and some really talented kids just above this age group (Haji Wright, Weston McKinney, Cameron Carter-Vickers etc). Will be an interesting match this one.

Thought USA might struggle against Paraguay but the front 4 were absolutely brilliant. I quite like the right-back (name escapes me) and that little tyke in the middle, Goslin or something.

Sergino Dest? Christopher Goslin is the midfielder you're thinking of.

Josh Sargent is going to be a big time striker. He's from St. Louis, but going to Werder Bremen. Every time I watch him he just bangs in goals.

Tonight against Lyon reminded me of the u21s about 2 1/2 years ago when they struggled with not having the experience to cope and were often outplayed . You could see that there was a lot of skill in some of the players , others were just average. Gradually they melded into a team, the young stars shone and the average ones were either moved on or taught to play a set pattern that worked.
Can’t be arsed joining in the fume, so thought I’d try to find a positive , not easy .

Not got going yet as an attacking force but there is good pressing and an obvious shape to the side.

Like Antony Evans - good footballer, good size.
