We should pretty comfortably win against Japan but you never know with us. Spain vs France is currently on; two of the favourites.

My one to watch for Japan is their number 7 Kubo.

Think he plays back in Japan but was part of that whole Barcelona scandal a couple of years ago.

Yep,good chance,one i think and expect us to take,they are away to man utd monday but man utd 2nd bottom,its the mersey u23s derby next month in 3 games times,that is LIVE on LFC TV

Surprised Sunderland are bottom, I was always under the impression they had good youth teams.

Has that Connelly (striker) been promoted yet? Scored a hat-trick against our U18's last season.

...I didn’t realise Dortmund had recalled the young England winger. Not sure if they’ve any players in the German squad but it seems a bit naughty.

Not being a weird nationalist or anything but seems an increasing numbers of players that are eligible for multiple countries in England's youth teams.

Our results

Semi final we beat Boro (who topped a group with Man City / Arsenal / Hertha Berlin)

Lost final 2-1 against Chelsea.

Had to qualify against all other Category 1 academy teams to take part in this tournament. I believe this age group are the same that won a few of these tournaments over the last few years so we seem to have another consistently good batch coming through.
