yes i've seen some on here say feeney has no chance but hes always impressed me and seems to get better near every time i see him.
Yep said same at half time about Feeney. It’s his physical size that’s often held against him, but if your deemed good enough to captain a very good U23 team at 18 you must have something. And sometimes the opposite thinking holds true - the big physical guys who can dominate at Youth level get found out in men’s football and those who develop good positioning and defensive thinking when young thrive as they grow physically .

Think gladly youth football is moving away from those days where only the biggest and strongest for their age group got the chances.

...true, but by the time they’re 19 things level out a bit. I do agree that there seems a seed change in the emphasis on quality but it’s good if that is aligned with athleticism.

Not sure about who was a stand out in our team, I continue to think the Coach could be the star?

Has anyone noticed whenever we're beating a team that fancy themselves as maybe better, the commentators are so quick to point out any player we have above puberty? So, so bitter. Who cares if Garbutt is 24 it doesn't make him any better than the 18-year old's we have. Grinds my gears when they do it.

Haha it cracks me up the worst one was Chelsea when we beat them 3-0 earlier in the season and they had Hazard playing!

Hmm, not sure , you’ve seen the size of the three centre backs England U17s use, Guelhi, Panzo , Latiebiere , excuse spellings. , I thought Gibson was a decent size but he cant get in the team. I’m not saying they are bad players , they’re good I’m just not sure how much is down to their size at 17.
