Interviewer: So, Ronald you've been here 6months now. How would you describe the style of play and tactics you've brought to the 1st team?

Koeman: But ok. It's what the fans want to see.

Interviewer: So would you class the style and tempo as similar to 'total football' then?

Koeman: But ok. Pressing.

Interviewer: How about once your team has the ball, have you taken anything from your time with Cruyff and other Dutch greats?

Koeman: But ok. Time for golf, ive done my 3 hours today.

....Interview over....

(off camera)

Ronald Koeman: But ok. You see bro? all we need to do is turn up for training and games and tell the players to run around more and these fans at this small club will still cheer my name for at least a season.

Erwin Koeman: But ok. I miss my home on the South Coast.

Ronald Koeman. But ok. Well, the golf is good here and we just need to make sure we get our contracts paid off before we can leave.

Erwin Koeman: But ok. I suppose Blackpool and Southport aren't too bad.

Ronald Koeman: But ok. Plus we only work 3 hours 5 days a week!

Erwin Koeman: But ok. 1 more year.

Ronald Koeman: But ok. Unless we get sacked again like at valencia, then we get all the compo.

Erwin Koeman: But ok. I'll tee off...

Ronald Koeman: But ok. No I'll tee off.

Zat?

You having a breakdown mate?

I'm only writing on what I'm seeing, sorry if I'm not liking what that is at the moment.

I'll state again though, I'm not wanting Koeman out, I just want to see gradual improvement and then what he can do with a few new players, I'm not currently seeing gradual improvements though, I'm seeing decline.

Has he really been given a chance?

He is in and out the team.....hauled off one match....brought on for twenty minutes in another.

Happen he needs a run of games to get going......and we know when he does get going he us a heck of a lot more effective than the undroppable £23 million man :drunk:

Nah. He needs to grow some balls more than anything.

If his first trick doesnt work out he disappears for the rest of the game.

His fitness is also atrocious.

Talented player, and yes he does need a run of games but he also needs to help himself a bit by making himself be of use when he has a bad day.

Difference between Bolasie and Deulofeu is that if Bolasie is having a mare he will still keep running about and generally will do something good that creates a chance. If Ged has a bad game he tucks his hands into his sleeves and hides until his inevitable substitution. Right now we cant afford to carry players like that.

A solitary win since September 17th. Manager looking less than a great fit, personality wise, and making a lot of off the cuff comments. A team now looking like it's lost the plot.

I look across the first team and bench and see cause for concern: a GK who knows he's under scrutiny; a captain who looks like he's lost discipline on and off the pitch; the ongoing festering boil that is the McCarthy situation; Lukaku making it known he's relieved on international duty to be playing with players up and around him; Mirallas and Deulofeu looking like they are bit part players and heading for the door; Barkley finding himself the unwanted centre of attention and target for the media.

The team have been questioned again this week about their intensity by Koeman - who also let slip midweek he hoped for four replacements for them in January. Next up is a tough grudge match away to S'ton whose players will be fired up and then 5 tough games on the spin after that culminating on Boxing Day away to Leicester. I cant see the type of fight here with this team that we could envisage picking up more than 5 points. The lack of reaction after the Chelsea mauling was shocking, and that's the best chance we'll have of nailed on three points out the window for some time to come. I hope in private they're sorting this out and that the manager is accepting that he too needs to up his game, because that dressing room can be pretty volatile. Once its lost it's lost for good. They dont do it in public, they make the anodyne comments - all the right noises about doing their 'level best' and 'dont know where it's going wrong' etc, but they know how to 'work to rule' and slip into a crisis mode very quickly.

This upcoming Southampton game will be enormous IMO.
I read that OP again just now. A week after writing it the whole thing stands up after that last match against Southampton:

- more managerial off the cuff comments
- team again loses the plot
- players looking like they want to be elsewhere
- Koeman still questioning the teams intensity

I fear it'll be just as spot on next Sunday too.

Take a while to c

It will take a long to clear up after the shambles of the last regime. Don't forget Martinez would have taken us down.

It's amazing the difference a couple of months can make.
