Listening to 606 on way home from game, and a caller to Robbie Savage, (Who I cant stand!) said basically, There are two leagues within the Premier, the top six and the rest trying to keep out of the Championship. Robbie Savage said something along the lines he wouldn't include Everton in those trying to keep out of the Chamionship. Come and watch us pal!

Have to say, seeing as he should have been 100% fit and ready, Rooney was a disgrace when he came on yesterday. What a truly awful cameo from our so-called prodigal son.

Can't really blame Martina for anything but it's clear if we had a real left back then he'd offer much more going forward than Martina does and it'd also take a lot of pressure off the left midfielder constantly having to cover him.

Also Williams had no reason to be blowing out of his arse after 20 minutes but he also was abysmal, kept wandering into midfield, losing possession and then having to drag his fat arse back into defence.

Holgate was also crap. As was Kenny who kept killing attack after attack. But at least those two are young and everybody knows they're not ready to play every week. The other defenders have no such excuse, including Jagielka and Keane when they are selected and continue to stink the place out.

Schneiderlin was again anonymous, so much for him being a defensive midfielder. Gueye must play the next game and not with that coward alongside him. Also time for either Davies or Klaassen to get a run in central midfield.

Bolasie continues to show how rubbish he really is. It's not even a question of him not being fit, he's just not capable. He must have a brain the size of a peanut - he has absolutely no intelligence on the field whatsoever.

Walcott did well on his debut, must have been one hell of a rude awakening though all the times he turned inside expecting to see movement or any form of support and being completely isolated. Good assist and overall a pleasing performance from him.

Tosun, unfair to judge him as no striker in the world would have been able to do anything with those players around him yesterday. Feel sorry for the guy, he'll be desperate to make an impact but literally has no chance to.

Finally, McCarthy. Don't like him as a player and really wanted him to be sold asap, so typically he breaks his leg and we have him on our books for another year. Awful injury and can only wish him a speedy recovery.

Nightmare time to be an Evertonian.

Agree with most of the post,; thought Wayne really cost us big time and just got away with his lack of pace, players running by and away from him, the same with Siggy, Bolasie woeful on the left. We cannot get away with slow defensive midfielders; my God when James got injured we were so open, so slow, no tackles ; as for Williams I've never been convinced by him,

LOL,after reading all that(and i can't disagree with most of it) how the feck did we get a point yesterday?

Went for Walcott, lots on energy, great pass for the goal

Mention for Rooney and the ball to Walcott for the goal

Hope Jimmy Mac recovers soon, all the best mate, stopped the second killer goal!

I went for Oumar with an honourable mention for Jimmy Mac.

Why can't any of our players go into a tackle and come away with the ball - ever?

Kenney and Holgate had a stinker.
+1

Cenk hasn't really contributed much and we would be wise to continue to bring in Niasse as a sub in every game. He has proven again that he can score - the Oumar naysayers are off base to say the least. Walcott looked good and I'm looking forward to seeing him contribute even more. Gutted for McCarthy...I broke my ankle playing many years ago...sadly it happens when you are an aggressive defender. I wish him a speedy recovery!

This paragraph in the Independent sums it up for me.

At the start of the season, you could not have imagined that by January, Cuco Martina and Nikola Vlašić would be starting games together down Everton’s left side. It might be harsh, but Martina would probably struggle in the Championship. That he finished the first half having had more touches than any other Everton player perhaps tells you everything you need to know level of attainment achieved by his teammates.

Thought Walcott edged it from , well.... no-one really. Everyone else was sheer dross. BFS talked about confidence after the game but these are professionals making schoolboy mistakes. Hard to believe we are so bad.
