That wasn’t down to the players (aside from Morgan the Crab), they’re told how to play and we played exactly to West Brom’s strengths, cataclysmicly poor game management and tactical selection.

I thought Walcott, though far from excellent, was our best player today. He must wonder what he's stepped into.

I thought the back four was poor today, especially Jonjoe Kenny who was all over the place. Having said that that Rondon is so strong and such a handful and would have been difficult for any defender to combat.

Bizarrely, McCarthy's tackle was perhaps the best bit of football in the entire game and you have to feel for him given his luck with injuries.

We look far better with Rooney and one defensive midfielder next to him imo.

I’m glad Walcott made a good impression but Pickford again demonstrated quality. We’ve got two points from the Baggies when it could’ve been none. Perhaps more importantly, the Baggies got two points from us when they could’ve got six.
