Just a comment on the fans thing.

I came on my own, met a United fan, a both of us hadn't been to Wembley in a very long time, had a pint and a bite to eat and went our separate ways to our clubs. I met many sound fans, from both sides, who I could have a chat about the football with, who helped me with any problems I had and all the rest of it. Fan Zone was brilliant, great to see so many kids there, and the chants at the bottom of Wembley way around 45 minutes before kick off were immense! Up until kick off, the atmosphere and the experience was electric. After kick off for a half, we went flat, understandably. Then in the second half it was amazing again.

Not a problem to be seen from my point of view, am shocked to hear otherwise.

Video I took before the game with my very sub-standard phone:

I hate to say this but over the last fortnight or a month I have developed a grudging, unprecedented and totally bizarre respect for the RS.

Taking United out in Europe...the Dortmund extravaganza.....the way they smelled blood and ripped into us relentlessly at The Pit....the fact they are announcing pre-season dpfriendky against Barcelona while we are playing Dynamo Dresden (according to some on here).

I wish EFC would generate the same levels of excitement for the fans.
Spot on mate. Us blue's hold to much hatred towards the RS ..and u have just smashed the truth. Hats off to you

Your experience was a bit more pleasant than some others..

Are you giving the same players the responsibility for the no-show in the first 45 minutes? Fella behind me summed them up at half time albeit with a mouthful of expletives I wouldn't have come out with.."gang if f###ing sh1tbags, no heart, no soul, no f@@king passion and no c@@ting interest in us f@@king idiots in the stands".
Yesterday showed that if there are to be changes then a good proportion of this squad needs to be dispatched pDQ. Maybe the manager too, but for me the players are the ones who seem to turn it on and off when they want to.
I'm putting up the idea that the reason for our poor football may be mostly down to Martinez' tactics/game plan and that players
may have decided 'stuff it, we'll do it our way'. Or that there may have been an element of that.

The difference between the two halves was stark, and if Martinez orchestrated the whole of it you'd have to wonder how he could
get it so wrong in the first.

The players have to bear some of the responsibility, but that match typified the whole season and Martinez is solely responsible.

I'm reminded of a teacher's comment in a 3rd form school report. 'Capable of excellence but quite likely to produce the opposite'.

Everton, that.

Well the do say you have to give the devil his due

respect, well very grudgingly, but only for the actual fact of the result(s) never as a club and baring a few exceptions ( thumbs of one hand ) not the 'entitled' support...but if they keep on doing this stuff the delusions won't go away.

Nah I'm being too fair they can all 'koff...If success comes at the cost of 96 & 39 I don't want it thanks

All this about bad fans, from my experience of Wembley, it was amazing! All credit to the blues, never heard We've got a diamond so much! Only downer was the prices and queues for a pint, biggest thieves going Wembley.

We won the singing.
Unfortunately as usual that's all we won!

When I put my 'smart'watch on this morning, it made the not so smart decision of reminding me of the result.
I now need a new smartwatch.

It was great being at Wembley though wasn't it everyone?
Looking forward to getting there again, with a top team, soon.

You know, you are right.

Getting up at 7am, getting in the car at 8am and driving down the M6/42/40, streaming past coaches full of everton fans, reading the flags in the back window, cars with scarves out the windows waving at one another. Its almost like an atmosphere was gathering then, like a March of fellow fans all traveling in the hope of the same outcome.

Stopping at Warwick services and seeing a sea of blue shirts, scarves and hats, people stopping and chatting to one another. All part of the day and build up to the game.

I love going to Wembley to watch Everton (only my 4th time Man Utd Semi, Chelsea Final, RS Semi & This Semi) no matter what the circumstances leading up to the game. The whole event is made better by us and the support that we have for our team.

I honestly cannot remember seeing hardly any united fans traveling down or flags etc marking themselves as supporters.

And the best bit of the day......stood in the fanzone in a sea of blue smoke (almost choking to death bloody toxic things) and remember seeing Jag's on the team sheet on the huge screen on the front of Wembley and the enormous cheer that went around!

We all await some news from Everton, but nothing will ever stop me enjoying going to Wembley to see the Toffees play infront of the best bunch of supporters in the country!!
