Great post mate. You know, you are right.
Getting up at 7am, getting in the car at 8am and driving down the M6/42/40, streaming past coaches full of everton fans, reading the flags in the back window, cars with scarves out the windows waving at one another. Its almost like an atmosphere was gathering then, like a March of fellow fans all traveling in the hope of the same outcome.
Stopping at Warwick services and seeing a sea of blue shirts, scarves and hats, people stopping and chatting to one another. All part of the day and build up to the game.
I love going to Wembley to watch Everton (only my 4th time Man Utd Semi, Chelsea Final, RS Semi & This Semi) no matter what the circumstances leading up to the game. The whole event is made better by us and the support that we have for our team.
I honestly cannot remember seeing hardly any united fans traveling down or flags etc marking themselves as supporters.
And the best bit of the day......stood in the fanzone in a sea of blue smoke (almost choking to death bloody toxic things) and remember seeing Jag's on the team sheet on the huge screen on the front of Wembley and the enormous cheer that went around!
We all await some news from Everton, but nothing will ever stop me enjoying going to Wembley to see the Toffees play infront of the best bunch of supporters in the country!!
Going down there regularly and winning....can't wait
