And they didn't bother in the first half. I give them no credit for their performance today. It was a semi final FFS, they should've been on it from the first second.
They were scared first half. Overawed by the occasion, coming off a complete pasting. Yes, they were awful but I didn't think it was not caring. Gutted like you. Just happy we can have some pride in the overall performance. We weren't humiliated.

Robles, Jags, Stones played well today. Others were average. Cleverly started getting about but missed a couple of chances, Lukaku was a handful but wasteful with numerous chances. 1st half we stood off and admired them 2nd half we got players forward and looked a threat but still looked wide open in the midfield and defence. Wonder what our new manager will do with this crew.

Stones was abysmal first half.

Man of the match was Jagielka by a mile.

Its just heart break after heart break supporting this team, papers will come out and say we showed spirit/fight etc, then say martinez deserves time and so on,im losing the will to live, this team are so annoying and frustrate me to hell

....not sure about the criticism of Lukaku. As folk know on here I don't like his penalties but at least he put his foot through it. He missed chances but that happens. Cleverley was so like I've seen before, getting in great positions and a poor finisher. I wanted us to be in it at 70 mins and we were but Martial was the best player on the pitch and probably deserved his moment.

A door closes, now let's be positive and start the Moshiri regime.

He had a shocker and cost us the game. That's the be all end all of it. Four glaring chances, arguably five.

He threw in the towel after the international break, and this belated attempt to pick up his form saw an inevitable end result in his sharpness.

Yes, he missed loads. He was much better than Wednesday however, and far better than Kone would have been.

did anyone else just know rom was going to miss? it wasnt even just an everton thing, i just didnt fancy him vs de gea, why the [Poor language removed] doesn't baines take them anymore!!!
pretty much the same [Poor language removed] penalty attempt as against West Ham...and same result

so a manager getting sacked is as good as ending a 21 year silverware drought? ok then
Yes for the simple reason as much as I wanted us the win the cup if we had, we would be stuck with this clueless manager for another season,do you want that?. I'm trying to look at the bigger picture, I've been supporting Everton since 1988, I want us to be constantly good (which has never really happened in all them years) and with Martinez that will never happen, we have got money now the good times aren't far way with the right manger in charge.
