Pienaar's form starting to worry me. I remember his first spell here and the first 12 months of his return he was at times exceptional, probably my favourite in the squad due to his style of play; brilliant, brilliant vision and awareness combined with a really deft touch and balance so that he almost never gave the ball away whether he was dribbling or passing. Now, he seems to get caught far more often and also his passes are far less consistent. It's been like that for about 6 months now, except for the odd reminder of his old self.
I'm not saying he's not been useful, he still has - I thought he looked very lively at the start of this game, but he's given it away a few times now - but nothing like his best.
