Hahaha. We were playing a resurgent Chelsea team who are one of the most in form teams in the league right now.

We were tight, gritty and played controlled football right from the first whistle.

If you can't appreciate that type of Everton performance then I don't know what you can.

It reminded me of how resilient we used to be. More of this please Robert.

Bristol City was probably the toughest game that year mate,they battered us down there,then Matt Jacko hit a screamer from 25 yardslol

We were on the train going to that game not knowing whether the game was going ahead after a pitch inspection. The state of the pitch, it was lie a ploughed field. David Burrows, one of the worst players ever in an Everton shirt, was destroyed that day by some unknown winger, Junior Bent. They had about 25 chances and couldn't hit the proverbial cow's arse with a banjo. Talking of which, do you remember Stuart Barlow breaking away three times in injury time, one on one each time and fluffed every one.
