Hahaha. We were playing a resurgent Chelsea team who are one of the most in form teams in the league right now.

We were tight, gritty and played controlled football right from the first whistle.

If you can't appreciate that type of Everton performance then I don't know what you can.

Thankfully it did,and in the end i think we just about got what we deserved,1st half was bad,2nd half from about the midway point,the game began to come to life,but i was fearing the worst when both teams started to go for it,thankfully Lukaku pulled a wonder goal out the bag as i thought whoever scored 1st would win the game

That was game management at its best. We dug in without being overwhelmed and carried on trying to look for goals rather than clearances. It was a basically a middle of the park game with boths teams loathe to take a chance and put too many men forward. That first goal by Lukaku was sublime, strength and skill that makes the 28m look like peanuts. Great display as a unit and togetherness against an inform Chelsea team. We had to dig in, we did, now we are in the semis deservedly......an education for the players as well as experience.
