...fundamental cause was the decision to play Sandro at CF. How some on here pick him there in their aspirational team selections is beyond me but much worst is how RK came up with that decision. I'm very concerned he didn't see what was patently obvious in the first half v Stoke, when Sandro plays furthest forward the ball continually comes back.

Sandro should be absolutely nowhere near the first team.

I turned on to see him with his head in his hands and wondered if I'd somehow missed the first 5 minutes and he'd missed a sitter or put it into his own net. That was before the game even started. The lad just has no confidence. He needs to spend some time with Mr Unsworth getting games away from the first team.

Watching him in the warm up at Chelsea doing routines for Big Dunc alongide DCL and Rooney he looked like a lost little boy. Struggled to hit a ball cleanly from 20 yards.
Shades of Niasse from the other season.

..not sure it's a confidence thing or more a case of what you see is what we have. The only bit of promise is he came through the ranks at Barcelona so there must be something there. By the way, I distinctly remember him with his head in his hands before the start.

Vlasic scored and he was the game changer for sure but MOTM was clearly Baines.

He has been the only solid performer for Everton for years. Obviously he isnt having the games like he used to when he was partnered with Stevie P but I feel like he is so underrated. He must be well pissed off he doesnt take the free kicks and pens anymore. If anyone was to leave for 'better things' or to 'win', how has it not been him? I think I heard he has the most assists for a defender in EPL history?

Anyway, the game was rubbish, we are rubbish, we have no speed but Im sure we will win 4-nil on Sunday.

I noticed that as well, just before kick off. I commented during the game as well that he looked terrified, wide eyed as he had been dispossessed.

In fairness to him, he is a young striker being played out of position in a team that doesn't create chances. That is pressure in my book.

I voted for Baines as I thought he had a very good game over the 93 minutes and is looking a bit more like his old self. Special mention to Vlasic who changed the pace of the game in the second half and took his chance really well. The rest of them still look like they have only just been introduced to one another, no pace, static when not in possession, constant passing back and, worst of all to me, slowness of thought when in possession. It all highlights how, without a player who can lead the line, this squad will struggle for goals against any opposition. Hopefully this will be priority number one in January!

..moving to a new country can't help as well. Saying that, he's not showing much indication of having something to offer to this point. Klaassen is disappointing but has hit a couple of encouraging passes which makes me think there might be something and I saw a difference with Sigurdsson playing close to DCL when he started to make things happen.

I didn't see the match last night, but I take it from the score line that we absolutely battered them yet they got a couple of lucky goals? Am I right or miles and miles off the mark?

That is true. Even if we go for width and pace with DCL as the focal point, there still doesn't seem to be a starting place for Sandro.

I'm struggling to see a starting place for Klaassen as well though. Suffice to say, there aren't many staking a claim for a jersey at the minute. The lack of a system is doing them all a disservice.

I'm just sad, embarrassed and dumfounded as to how he doesnt see it and keeps making the same mistakes every line up. OK so we dont have a decent striker but you have to go with your best option in that position, play a balanced 11 not 3 no 10s. Its clear, there is no movement up front, its so obvious even my 15 year old daughter can see it.

We didn't batter them, we were poor for the majority of the game, knocking the ball around with no one to pass to. Sandro was poor, Davies had a bad game and our Wayne also kept losing the ball.

One to forget, they deserved their draw in my opinion.
