Everton V Wolves

We are a bit short in midfield due to injuries.

We are quite well endowed in the striker department.

We are playing a 'weaker' side.

We are at home.

It is a sensible opportunity, nay a necessity, to go for a result, be positive.

So 4-5-1 it is then, regardless of who the 5 are.

FFS.

When teams above us are dropping points, and we can't beat Stoke or Wolves, then we know we have problems.

The best team we've played so far beat us 6-1, so I'm not looking forward to our next fixtures.

After Bolton, we have:

Spurs
Villa
W Ham
United
Hull
Liverpool
Spurs
Chelsea

Time to get it right, or find ourselves in a relegation battle over Christmas, and Jan and Feb fixtures are bad.

I refer you to the thread entitled 'Knee Jerk Reaction' Mr Bastardo, surely we won't be in that position?

This thread is degenerating into a 'should we all commit suicide' thread, the end is nigh....................................I trust that the boss will get the right blend going shortly and we will all have happy smiling faces by Christmas.......................[Poor language removed] happens we could have lost to a beach ball or Tim Howard should have been sent off lets not go over the top

I'm as disappointed as the next man, but you son, your a liability to your own existence. Relegation battle?

Having watched the game again last night on MOTD, we actually could have won comfortably with a little more composure. Were not moons away, and certainly not relegation fodder.

The main positive for me was Yakubu, I thought he was different class when he came on. Dropping deep, holding the ball up and some good link up play with Saha at times.

Wouldn't mind seeing them both start at Benfica on Thursday.

Most Wolves fans would have a decent word to say about Everton - in fact I would go as far as to say that every Wolves fan I know would back Everton over Liverpool in every conversation - and so I find it very disappointing that some of you (probably the younger element of the fan base) are so disrespectful to one of the fellow founder members of the Football League. "we should rightfully be relegated" "you should thrash us 6-0" "its only Wolves" etc etc .........but I would say some of you will only have seen our results and not read the reports about performances. We have a decent young squad and some class with the likes of Doyle, Hennessey , Melijas and Kightly ....but we lack experience at this level. A few additions in January should see us compete even more in the Prem.

I was elated with a 1-1 draw until I really thought about it - and became disappointed that we didnt hold out for the win !!

You shouldnt beat yourselves up that you didnt thrash us - and that we are only Wolves - but maybe give us some credit for fighting back from near extinction to rightfully competing in the same league as you.

What was the score the last time we met in the Prem at Molineux ?

............but I wont leave it there as that is disrespectful to the vast majority of Toffees fans and the club - a great club that promotes the virtues of true football and not "buy the league at any cost" club .....a club that will be around for a long timme in the Prem ....hopefully just like The Wolves !!

...and I will leave on a note of fun !!! How much would you pay to have that beach ball displayed in your club shop ;-) ;-)

Bye all and have a good season !!

I find it rather quaint being called 'son' by a guy many years my younger, but at least the 3 letter word was spelt correctly, unlike some of the other much more difficult words like 'we're' and 'you're'. :)

The fact is, oh intellectual one, that we have some 'very hard' games coming up before Christmas, and some 'very hard' games after Christmas, and if we don't start getting some results quickly, we actually 'do' risk getting into a relegation battle.
We are only 4 points above the relegation zone, or haven't you noticed?

I again refer you to our next matches:

It's easy to see that we have some very tough matches coming up, and from January right through to March is an absolute 'backs to the wall' period.
If you want to ignore these facts, then that's cool, but shove the 'liability to your own existence' comment where the sun doesn't shine. :)

Taking off the tinted glasses doesn't equate to a knee jerk.
