Everton v Wimbledon

Watched that game a hundred times - I can't see the fix in any way.

As said by @Kever10, Stuart's goal was a bit soft, but I've seen many worse goals go in against much better 'keepers than Segers. Other than that, nothing about the game whatsoever looked fixed.

Like Kevin Ratcliffe's goal at Anfield in a derby game, with both teams fighting for the championship, Kevin hit the ball from a good thirty yards out, Grobblar dived and missed the ball and it TRICKLED into the net, a misjudgement, same as as Seggars in the Wimbledon game.

What I remember - and I was there - was that Everton were still selling away tickets on the day of the game to Wimbledon fans in the Upper Bullens.

The small shed next to the car park and away end.

I saw more than one Red with a jarg Cockney accent claim a ticket - "where you from lad?" "Lewisham". First ticket done, next "Croydon"..lads in, next RS infiltrator says "Crewe!" You couldn't make it up....lad in the office looked at him like he was soft.

Weird day, you're in bits and your mates want to watch it from the Away End to fire it in later. Don't worry, they know who they are and won't be boasting on here that they were there and what they did that day.

No way was that match fixed - I was in Upper Bullens and wanted to get off two down - no chance! Before mobiles info was sketchy and thought a draw would have been enough as Ipswich? Would get beat. Spent all night getting Taxi's around town "Two for Stuart please mate". Got home Monday!

Not really any different to our players *allegedly* throwing games because they wanted Martinez sacked at the end of last season

I remember celebrating in the Yates wine lodge, opposite Moorfields station.

A couple of RS fans made the mistake of coming in for a late drink!

"Misjudgement" is the correct word. The shot is deceiving. It gathers pace and it's hit early and curls away; it's easy to see how Segers was tricked by it. People also fail to remember that Segers moves to his left as the shot is hit and is caught out completely by the direction of the strike.

Never a fix that one. Hell of a day, utter despair to jubilation. Horne's goal is enough to show it wasnt fixed. Stuart's second was a bobbler and thats why it went it. Goodison steamrolled the crazy gang when it matterd that day, dont let any conspiracy gibberish make you think different.

Does anyone have any proof that game was fixed ?
Have heard lots of stories and know all about the coach hotel stuff
But is there anything else or was it just a good comeback

Any proof would've surfaced by now...like the Collina thing

OF COURSE IT WAS FIXED, BOTH OF THEM WERE.
