Agree with most of what you said bar the bit in bold. What has Mucha done wrong in the two games he played? None of the goals were his fault and he made two great saves today. My man of the match today personally, partly though because everyone else was so utterly ****e.

he doesnt look mobile enough to me every time the ball comes in or a shot he doesnt seem to move unless its a pee roller shot.

Forgot to say this before but Wigan were great today tbf. The way they kept going for a goal despite being 3-0 up in injury time was impressive. If that was Moyes we would've sat back and defended a 1-0 lead. Today has certainly made me rethink whether I'd want Martinez as our manager if Moyes leaves in the summer.

I've been waiting to say about Fellaini: every week lately his body language has had me on the edge of getting really annoyed. Today just took the piss though. He can get to [Poor language removed]. That kind of performance, let alone how everyone else did, was, and this word is criminally overused these days, absolutely disgraceful.

I'm a bit lost for words other than that. What the [Poor language removed] kind of preparation for the game made them come out and play like that? Moyes has got to get them firing for games like this. This is inexcusable for everyone involved. But at the end of the day, we had too many on there who can't be arsed. Coleman was utterly awful. Contributed nothing, Was really surprised and disappointed in his shift. The only player who carried a threat was Mirallas. There are no words for Philip Neville. I don't blame Moyes for starting him as honestly, I'd rather have someone on there who is supposed to care about these types of games and set an example, even if he's sh*te, but in hindsight, it was an awful choice.

Cheers lads. 19 years. 3-0 to f*cking Wigan we've got to deal with this week and for a long time to come. Just feel disheartened and thoroughly embarrassed.

Disagree mate. He looked mobile enough based on the saves he made that led to the Wigan corner they scored their first goal from and the Maloney free kick.

one free kick mate and it was from a bit of distance aswell suarez would of buried that past him Im certain of it.

I dont even care anymore tbh mate ive had enough of this club from top to bottom its a cesspit of corruption and failure could understand if it was some Yank or dodgy businessman who got us in this mess but to think its another so called "blue" angers me beyond belief [Poor language removed] Redcoat.

revolution in the summer please evertonians, new owner, new manager and a few new players.

It's all very well talking about getting a new Manager in, whether it be now or the end of the season. Personally I want Moyes out and even today wouldn't be too soon - BUT - we need to remember that there will be no chance of a Managerial change unless Moyes himself decides to go. One thing is clear for all to see is that Kenwrong won't sack him.

oh i want moyes gone now but we dont need a permanent replacemet til the end of the season. martinez is someone we should look at but i dont think he would walk away from wigan at this point in the season even if they were not going to wembley

The kind that has you commentating for the BBC in midweek instead of working on ways to get the best out of your players in the biggest match of your season.

Martinez ran rings round Moyes today.

Wigan were able to fluidly switch between 5-4-1 when they were defending and 3-4-3 on the attack. Our 4-2-3-1 wasn't able to find a way through midfield and that didn't change when we went to 4-4-2 at half-time. If you look at how Mourinho switched to 3-2-3-1-1 against United by replacing Arbeloa with Modric to seize the initiative and then back to 4-2-2-1-1 with Pepe on for Ozil once they had scored their 2 goals, then Moyes could have been a lot braver at home to Wigan. I appreciate that Anichebe might not have had 60 minutes in him but, as soon as Wigan scored their third, Moyes should have sacrificed a midfielder for a forward rather than waiting until half-time.

We started the game with Pienaar on the right and Mirallas on the left. I imagine that the idea was to protect Coleman from McManaman but Martinez played him on the right-hand side to occupy Baines anyway. So why didn't we switch to our normal setup as soon as we realised?

I don't know why we don't have a man on the far post for corners but that might have prevented Figueroa's opener. It was a bad pass by Neville for the second but Distin could have gone and met the ball rather than backing off. The third was quite well taken but we shouldn't have been in a situation where Osman was trying to cover two players on the edge of the box. Generally we gave them far too much time to play their football.

For the start of the second half it looked like Coleman had been pushed on as a right winger. It was difficult by this stage because Wigan compressed the space very well. We panicked and tried to get the ball forward too quickly with long passes that were easily intercepted. There was very little movement either. If Baines of Distin looked up everybody in front of them was stood still and it wasn't difficult to defend against. Moyes needed to get the team being more patient and playing more of a pass and move game.

Fellaini looked thoroughly dejected. I'm not so sure the boos were for him but rather for Moyes replacing our top scorer with a defensively-minded player when we're 3-0 down. If the manager thought that Felli's frustration might boil over and get him into trouble he could have managed him better. Why not remove any defensive responsibility from him and tell him to go and win headers in the Wigan box? The Mirallas substitution didn't make a lot of sense either. Why not take Osman off or sacrifice a defender?

We looked leggy and we needed someone with energy to lift us, so I'd have been tempted to put Barkley on earlier with the instruction to run around and make things happen. Once again Moyes picked a bench lacking in dynamism, but he could have used 6 ft 4 Shane Duffy as an emergency centre forward.

Moyes looked bereft of ideas. The side has done pretty well this year but it looks like we've run out of steam now. I know that we're not out of the running for European places, we want to stay ahead of Liverpool and we have some big games coming up but the manager needs to find a way of reinvigorating the side heading into the home straight. Besides Barkley he doesn't have a lot of bright players to bring into the side, so maybe he needs to look at a change of formation? Just trying harder and hoping that things fall our way certainly isn't the answer.

everythings wrong at this club,

a owner who is a free loading cancer on the club

a manager who bottles games and doesnt want to be here

our best player haggling for a move away

our main striker is a pub player from the baltic

and our fans CLAP CLAP CLAP that REDCOAT at the club I CANT BELIEVE IM HEARING THIS WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS CLUB?

Problems with today and also our team:
Neville over Gibson? I'd rather play heitinga at centre midfield than neville.
Outdated tactics. Wigan kept their wingers up when we went forward, so they could counter.
Defence. Heitinga is too small to be a centre back. The full backs and wingers let too many crosses in, and then our centre backs can't head it away.
Attack: We only have three strikers, and they aren't that good.
Fellaini's attitude: We were crap, get on with it and don't give up.
Taking Kevin off: Why?? He was one of our best players today (but that wasn't hard)
Long balls: We don't have Cahill, and we have one player (who isn't a defender) who can head the ball.
Money: We can't blame ourselves for this, but we need to appeal more to potential buyers.

Gibson has a thigh injury, which is why he didn't start.
Our tactics are one dimensional.
We rely too much on Distin to clear high balls.
We only really have two strikers. One is mostly injured and the other is on a Saha-esque drought.
Felli has carried the side and I think his frustration is understandable.
It seemed like Moyes wanted Barkley to play on the right, which is why Mirallas came off, but Ross played centrally anyway.
Long balls: Frustration and lack of ideas rather than a plan, I think.
Money: Who knows?

Maybe it would, maybe it wouldn't. I'm a believer in having 2 men on the post at all corners but in moists defence its not like we had 11 men back for the corner so didn't have one spare to put on the far post.

No wait, yeah we did and still couldn't actually mark their players.

Just replace 2-0 with 3-0, and Mexico with Wigan...

We did the same against Oldham. Coleman stands with the 'keeper and the far post is unguarded. If Mucha is facing the corner and it goes over his head there's no way he can reposition himself in time to make a save. I guess there's some Moyes logic to it.
