It's becoming readily apparent Allardyce is clueless when it comes to attack. Either that or he doesn't trust the forward players to do anything, so he goes with a defensive lineup to mitigate the damage. And Schneiderlin must have pics of Allardyce in the Lisbon bogs. That's the only way he can continue to command a starting spot.

The line-up wasn't particularly 'defensive' though.

It's the set-up. The whole static play and rigid formation. It's abysmal.

2 DMs in front of a back four. That's more defensive than anything, especially when the 2 FBs offer nothing going forward. I agree with the assessment of the static play. There's more movement by a glacier.

Watching that was really soul destroying. We never looked likely to score and always looked likely to concede.

We really need to keep Niase. Say what you like about him but he has won us some points this season. Nearly all of his goals have changed the course of a game for us.

We don't even have any idea how to do basic things such as throw ins, etc. It's amateur football club standard a lot of the time. I'd say we're very likely to be dragged into the bottom six within the next month. I am very, very worried.
