First half analysis

Defence is absolutely jarg

This is honestly pretty good

Compared to the previous crap we’ve served up this season in friendlies it’s boss mate, as people say though (funnily it’s normally after we’ve just got beat) you can’t take much from a friendly game.

I think you guys need a new CB and a new CM. Your two CM's seem to panic whenever they're pressed and they're going to give up a lot of goals through errors. You need someone to spread the play and someone who can pick a pass but who can also defend. I can't think of any player that would be realistic tbh.

I think, if anything, we are playing better togger these days. We literally just need to score more and concede less.

Richarlison has been a class buy.

Best we've looked going forward all pre season, nothing we didn't already know defensively though both CB's still need sorting.

I'm not the biggest fan of Keane but i feel for the lad playing on the left, 2nd manager now to put him on that side and he doesn't have a natural instinct for any ball in to the left channel. Do i think he's going to improve loads for playing on the right, no but atleast it would be more natural to him considering it's the side he was most likely school'd on in the Utd academy and under Dyche at Burnley.

Definitely the best we have played so far this pre-season and under Silva. Quite a few performed well, Richarlison, Cenk, Issa, Walcott to name a few. Would like to see Pickford and Digne come on for the 2nd half.

Have to say Leighton grew into the game more and more, If he still had his pace he would be second to none as an attacking fullback. Bring on the DEAN second half though

Baines can still whip a brilliant cross in but unfortunately thats all he can do now. Hes been beat several times defensively so far. Gana has been the best player on the pitch imo. Reminding me of 16/17 Gana. Walcott makes a massive difference

Alright mate calm down. Just an observation I made.

I still believe in Keane, even with this preseason. There is a player in there, maybe not a leader, but a player.

Maybe it is Jags and Williams. Pair Keane with anyone decent and he does better. (Runs and hides)

Good 1st half attacking wise. Defence is a mess though. Love the way Richarlison wants to attack all the time rather than looking for a safe pass.

Tosun is clinical and needs to work harder finding that space to receive. No space no Tosun. Walcotts pace and running causes problems.

Hope to see minutes given to Dign.

Still need the cheque book out to sort major problems in defence and midfield

Richarlison is a cracking player, really incredible

He does look good. Very industrious, and good awareness of how to move the ball into efficient space so he can move forward at speed.

Not sure he looks 50+ million good or whatever it was though. Hope I’m wrong.
