I hate to say it, but yes. We need something in midfield and because we haven't got McCarthy on the bench, it's our only option.

We have a few problems again, a not very good manager and an England goalkeeper who is rubbish, and 5 or 6 good defenders who don't seem to be able to play together. Same old problems we had under Martinez,Koeman and big Sam.

It is baffling how we’ve gone backwards again after going on a decent run, after a wobbly start!

My concern is that Silva (and Richarlison!) has an initial impact that can’t be backed up by longer-term ability.

Because he's just as much at fault. Pickford is definitely at fault, but so is Zouma. It's a massive cock up from them both. One of them should take control and clear everything out.
