Back from the game

Baines had a shocker. Barkley was good but had no support. Swansea were effective at getting 2 or 3 ganging up on players. Alcaraz's injury looked bad
.
McGeady was the best player - surprised to see him taken off. Pienaar was poor. Barry filled in as an effective centre back. Besic was impressive

Unfortunatley Swansea had a really really good defensive style - even if we were on top of our game (which we weren't - so many sloppy passes) they deserve a lot of credit

I feel if we'd played that in August we'd have lost. A point is a point. Onwards and upwards.

We're not going to get CL this season sadly IMO.

We're playing well but just not getting the luck like we used to (apart from that very blatant penalty shout)

However a win at Sunderland (possible) and 10 points out of 12 isn't so bad?

Tippy tappy again, dont know where their goal is and when we do no-one in the box who wants to get on the end of it or the ball doesnt even make it to the box. Martinez tic tacs wrong again, taking McGeady off who was skinning his man every time when Barkley should have come off, he was getting tired.
Yet another perfect opportunity to jump 2/3 spaces in the prem as RS lost. Apart from City the run in to Xmas should all be wins for me including today.

I know this is like my 4th positive post on this but just one more thing. We can agree that Liverpool and United are our main rivals for fourth, I hope, let's get our imaginations working hard and imagine United loose tomorrow. Would you rather them two loosing and us drawing or all of us winning?

And no smart-ass answers like 'I'd rather them loose and we win' or 'cheese on toast'

I'm starting to worry about Southampton doing an 'us' circa 2004 - 2005 to be honest.

pretty convinced Southampton will be in the mix...and possibly as high as third.

Just got back home after the game, after the Lantern Parade at Sevvy Park - there was more sparkle there than at Goodison.

Thought the shape went to pot after the subs. I think Barkley should've been taken off instead of McGeady. Eto out on the wing was wasted.

'kin frustrating game.

Hope we shape up much better for Lille.

The point is we should be winning these games, irrespective of the RS and Manure, but knowing they are doing as bad makes it harder that we arent taking the advantage. The same happened against Palace, shouldve vaulted up while the others slipped.
Need to look at ourselves first and the games we should be winning and let the rest take care of itself
