Match Thread Everton V Sunderland Sunday 17th May 15:00

Need to be moving O’Brien into CB and wouldn’t be against putting Garner into RB if Gueye is fit again

Ndiaye on the right, George on the left and KDH can drop a little deeper with two actual attackers on either wing
World cup squad announcement next week, Move Garner at your own peril Moyes.

I don't suppose anyone on here is going to the Sunderland match in the posh seats? Where you get a meal, and can order a Guinness to be ready at half time etc? The restaurant packages rather than bar.

Hoping to convince someone to write a review on the day so us normies can see how the other half live.

Never say this but feel like we’ll win this one, they sort of tapered off and missing key players, I feel like they’ll definitely suffer from second season syndrome next season.

If Moyes is bothered about the England squad I’d argue showing his capabilities at right back might make it more likely he gets in, having a bench option that can cover two positions is something managers love for tournaments
Oh yeah, it was only me giving Moyes a sly warning.
Tuchel will already know who he's taking and he knows Garner's game and capability to cover positions.

He won the U21's at Rb

I just don't ever want Moyes to start getting comfortable with it.

This is exactly where Everton continuously punch us in the stomach, these games.

Out of form teams, missing players, playing for nothing, havent scored this season, opposing team squad ran a marathon 3 hours before kick off, No manager, lost 9 on the bounce etc.......

Sunderland have been one of the season surprises for me. Physical, not awful to watch, sound manager.

Almost annoying then, that we're paired up with what should've been on the beach fodder, instead with outside pretentions of Europe of they're own...

We have a good chance of Europe with two wins against lower teams coming up. I wanna see us at it, and creating chances.

A win on any terms for me.

loss is unthinkable.

If he starts Keane and Barry you are going to be so disappointed.

As long as Gueye is back fit I think putting Garner at right back is probably what gives us the most balance overall (especially if O’Brien can move into the centre and we have two attacking wingers playing in George and Ndiaye)

Garner has been our player of the season as a centre mid but I don’t think we’ve ever really looked weaker when he’s had to move to right back and I think it would be better for the team overall

Agree to Disagree on this one than mate.

You don't move your best midfielder to fill a gap that shouldn't need filling.
