Pursues experienced alternative full back all summer, who he has worked with before, hands him long term deal, plays him in first competitive game.

Second competitive game he plays young midfield dynamo as right wing back who adds energy and verve despite lack of experience in that position.

First league game of the season.....who will he choose?

Well that's utterly bizarre. 5 players have played right back/wing back this pre-season and then he starts DCL there...but ok.

I dont think he intends DCL to be a right wing back really. I think he means him to be another striker that occasionally gets back on defence.

think it'll be gueye RWB similar to davies. Very odd, martina, holgate, kenny and davies have all been played RB and right wing back in pre-season, so he goes and plays someone there who has never played there before?

I was concerned about the 5 at the back being played after the last couple of days, just don't see the point in paying up to £60m for a better keeper and centre back, only to feel the need to play extra players there as they settle in. I'd understand if they'd both looked shaky so far, but they've settled in the best out of the lot for me. Oh well, let's see how it goes. Seriously need those two new attackers though.
