We have the biggest winner we've ever had managing our team. A brutally honest man who wants to live by our club motto.

Hiya Esk, not sure about those comments, our own Kendall has won more than Koeman (as manager), and Roberto also wanted to live by our motto...and more (the return of the school of science etc).

I think the majority of us aren't expecting anything resembling our best finish for 30 years, but we've probably all had enough transfer mosh wam chat...all about the game now!

Should be a good match thread too...let's please not concede early, blues.

You'll never find me saying a bad word or in anyway demeaning HK's achievements mate, same for all blues. Maybe badly worded, but to me RK represents the biggest winning personality, and desire to win we've had at the club in the last 50 years.

Dr David France said a really interesting thing the other day when he said that Everton he been in decline (apart from the 4 year winning period under HK) for the last 50 years and this was the challenge facing Moshiri and Koeman.

I thought it was a brilliant point and in both we have people equipped to arrest the decline and turn us around.

aye, it is interesting to note that the most successful period in our long history was really only a 4-year stretch.

I know you have a lot of faith in the new setup to deliver success again...I for one just hope to enjoy the football: some fight, determination and drive on top of solid organisation. I can even take a loss if we show those qualities.

Koeman said he expects optimal fitness in 3 weeks but if we see positive signs today I think most of us will be content.

Moshiri and Koeman certainly represent a great opportunity for Everton, but it is an opportunity which has to be grasped. In the great scheme of things Moshiri and Norman have not really done very much to date.
The pre season has been poor, the most significant business we have done in the transfer market is to sell England's best young prospect to a better team.
I am like most, if not all, Everton fans, full of hope. I posted that I think we will draw today but there is a part of me thinks we will win. The same part thinks we will be up there challenging this year but that hope is based on very little.
Moshiri and Koeman need to deliver. A couple of top line transfers would be a great start and so would shipping out some of the players clogging up our wage bill who we won't use.

No idea how today will go, think Koeman will start by setting up quite safe and playing the system he used for the first half against Man Utd.
