I'm not sure our attack was THAT bad. Walcott should've scored a sitter and with all the free kicks they were giving up, we should've maybe done a bit better, but we were probably fortunate not to score a few more.
 

I’d of taken 4 points from the first 2 games if you’d have offered it before the start of the season. Good start, lot to learn from that second half though.
 
Saints threatened to take it after 20 mins in the 2nd half but Gana with Siggy in front of him took control back... damn well played in the last 25mins.. Davies also kept possession perfectly and either found the pass or drew a foul. Very mature display.. Coleman.. sort it out lad.. new Everton this.

That passback to Walcott, man.

In general, I think a couple guys were just a bit rusty. Coleman's final cross typified a good match from him, just ran out of gas a bit. Baines was being picked on a bit and well, I would do the same thing, but I think Digne is eventually going to be the guy out there, and he's much better defensively.

The zonal marking scheme has to be improved, though.
 
We made that more of a battle than it needed to be, still look dodgy in defense hopefully that will improve once the new lads come in.
