Totally understand the frustration with not going for the 2nd goal more and yeah it was a pretty difficult watch, but I think Carlo knew a win tonight could be huge mentally. Stops the rot at home and a rare home clean sheet. It gives belief to the players we can see a game out.
Not at all saying it was anything to write home about but we did what we haven't done recently - win when not playing well.
Quite obviously we've got big improvements to make to be on the front foot more, get more control in the midfield, inject some more pace into our moves. But that is a longer term change in progress and I don't think for one second Carlo isn't aware of all this.
