..good to see most of the fringe players taking their opportunity when it arose. Kenny, DCL, Sandro, Digne and Dowell all appeared to make positive contributions. I went for Kenny, although Digne and DCL might be the ones who most elevated themselves to becoming first team starters.

DCL could surprise a few this season, there’s a real chance for him to become Centre Forward.

I will say this, I'm not sure if I'll go to early rounds of this tournament next season

You could have heard a pin drop in Goodison at times last night, even in the Gwladys

It didn't help that we put out the reserves, although for the most part I thought everyone did well

I got up about half an hour after the end, and instead of going to the scores I followed the game here on the Match Thread.

I can't work out why we were constantly being urged to vote on MoM. How can you have an opinion?

I might randomly pick someone later to see how we mostly guessed.

...an excellent attendance it has to be said. I suppose the atmosphere is also impacted by the lower level opposition. Brilliant that so many turned up.

Looked like a lot of kids in the ground too from the footage i saw which is good. But that's another reason why the atmosphere might be quieter. Still, 32k last night was a great turnout, best of the round by some distance.

Went the game today, it's hard to really judge the team when playing a team like Rotheram , plus with all the changes to the lineup. I don't know why there was so much abuse, between our fans and there's in the paddock and lower Bullens. A good night, Everton winning and Red Star going through in the champions league. Saw Richarlison outside the ground, looked in a right bad mood, obviously hasn't got over his sending off.

I think thats his resting bitch face, he seemed OK when he and Mina were doing selfies in the ground.

Did the proposed singing section in the back of the Gwladys just not happen then?

It was a disaster

There were about 4 blokes who tried it, no one else joined in

It was supposed to be the entirety of my usual section behind the goal (I think) but it was nigh on impossible to get anything going down at the front. It was all families and stuff, with the regular people who sit around me seemingly deciding to stay home. I think I'll join them in doing so next season

So how is that any diffrent then your average premier league game them? The atmophere at Goodison is beyond trash and has been for well over five years now. The only thing that shocked me about the support leavels last night was that after we went 3-1 up we had somthing approaching an atmophere.

Usually the Lower Gwladys is at least decent

I often leave games thinking "Wow, great atmosphere today!" and then watch it back at home to see that "Nope, it was just us apparently"
