The songs there fans sing are either annoying or inaudable.
One song sounds like there singing "no more thierry henry" over and over.
They were singing we've got Guardiola for some bizarre reason. I don't mind fans getting behind their team as much as possible like some away fans like Wolfsburg, Young Boys and Yeovil who have come to Goodison. But I've never liked when fans just sing pointless songs about the home fans not singing for 90 minutes Of course Everton fans are not going to be bouncing up and down and singing for 90 minutes in a midweek game against Rotheram. I don't know why smaller clubs expect premier league supporters to be really up for these types of games. You can take the p**s out of the RS when they're quiet against us, because they go round telling everybody how wonderful their fans are. Contrived atmospheres like you get at Anfield, Man City and Palace are something I'd never like to see at Everton.

Thought Digne, Zouma and Sandro were massive positives for us tonight, Kenny, Dowell, Davies and DCL very good too.

Liked the 442 formation think it is promising for us going forward that we have different options to use in differing circumstances.

All in all a good result and a good performance

Just in....both full-backs were excellent, especially JJK. Both wanted the ball at every opportunity and were very mobile.
Really enjoyed watching Dowell tonight....he has all the attributes to become a very, very good footballer....good stature, very calm, controls a ball naturally and has a majestic stance about him.
Sandro did his chances no harm tonight either.

DCL scores 2 goals and effectively wins the game. If it was anyone else the DCL haters (and for some reason every Everton player has his share of haters on this forum, not critics but haters) would ignore the rest of his game, good or bad. Strange people football "supporters".

Exactly. I don't know who these armchair gladiators think they are saying "So and so played crap" or "Such and such had a blinder".

If you didn't go the match, you can't have a clue.

Football is a bit like hockey as a spectator sport - the best place for understanding what you're seeing is at elevation behind either goal, and you won't get that camera feed on a broadcast. (Football on TV is further hampered by the limited field of view of a TV camera, rendering the viewer unable to see half of the players' movement off the ball.)

Basketball (the traditional camera angle is more or less where you want to sit if you're not courtside) and American football (there are losses in judging QB accuracy, but it's generally fine) tend to lose less in translation to a camera.

Harsh but I agree... I live about 11,000 km from Goodison and have never set foot in Ingerlunds. I have to watch our matches on the telly (we're 7 or 8 hours ahead depending on daylight savings) and believe me watching on me telly its a lot more difficult to call things accurately. You'd think someone was either anonymous or crap on the screen and that very same player would almost unanimously be voted motm on here and vice versa. The good thing is, this season every Premier league match is televised and the commentary is decent.
