Pickford

Kenny
Holgate
Zouma
Digne

Bernard
Davies
Sigurdsson
Lookman

Richarlison
Tosun

Just for clarification

Richarlison is suspended and unavailable

"This season, any cautions players receive will be specific to the competition they were playing in at the time. So, a yellow card in an FA Cup game, for instance, wouldn't count towards a suspension in the Premier League.

However, red cards will apply across all competitions - although standard bans can now be decreased or increased in exceptional cases"

No appeal means the ban is immediate.

Richarlison will miss the league cup tie with Rotherham, and two league games not three.

Wrong - new rule changes mean he is only suspended for the competition he was red carded for thus he is free to play this game.

My understanding is that there is a change in the rules and you are only prevented from playing in the competition that you were playing in when sent off.
Therefore this game does not count towards the suspension and thus Jagielka and Richarlison are , I believe , free to play v Rotherham
No the rules as they stand mean that all competitions qualify towards the suspension, Jagielka's suspension finishes on
29-08-2018 which is the Rotherham game, it also means that Richarlison only misses two league games in his three week suspension.

Using the squad is 1 thing, but playing 8 attacking players in a side is a different thing.

Not much choice. The likes of Gana, Sigurdsson, Coleman, Holgate etc. absolutely should be sitting this one out, even if it's on the bench. Finding ourselves a bit short in the DM position has made this difficult so we need to find ways around it..

If you can't take that opportunity to rotate in the league cup at home to a league one standard side then when can you?

Ive no issue with rotation mate, I just think sticking 8 attacking players on the pitch isnt a great idea.

I realise we have limited options with the number of injuries and suspensions we have, but im not sure if your team would work on a footballing level.

The only other option is using Gana, who's played every minute of every game so far, or Schneiderlin who wouldn't be fully fit. I get that Gana would be the obvious choice, but it's a bit disappointing having to lean on that for a game against Rotherham at home. The guy could do with a night off.

Well personally I would have stuck Beni in there alongside Davies, but im not sure on his fitness.

They won again today again in the championship, I watched them on TV, looked decent enough by championship standards although early days admittedly and only one game.
