Barkley could be a great great centre mid. His biggest strength is running from deep - he's terrorising defences with that skill. Hopefuly we will see plenty of it tonight and hopefuly Besic will be an adequate cover for him and allow him to burst forward.

Ross is a CM, not an AM.

We play him as an AM so he has freedom to do his thing and because his change of pace on the counter and ability to drive with the ball. Hopefully he shows a bit of maturity tonight.

The team looks really exciting, but this has all the ingredients for a post game fume of only playing one defensive minded midfielder.

He's at his best running from deep and he's got the opportunity to do that tonight. Hopefully he doesn't wander off and leave Besic on his own, but Barkley running at QPR from deep, they'll be bricking it.

Besic is key in this match. You can have all the flair and pace you want upfront, but he will have to be right on it tonight.

he usually plays higher up the pitch in an attacking role.
I'm hoping it's an experiment with 4-1-4-1

He's been getting marked out and is being less effective too far forward. He should be able to drag players away to less croweded space where he'll be more effective and Naismith will get him space too.

He can focus on his running and through balls too
