Let that be a lesson to all of you plebs being complacent and expecting us to walk it 3-0. How on earth do you never learn?

..I didn’t say it but it’s often the way when posters are positive about the team selection and arrogant ahead of the game.

It was pretty much as I predicted, we struggle against well organised defensive units. I suspect Silva will rightly say it’s due to a lack of tempo and speed in our build up play. I thought it would be close, we didn’t create a chance in the 2nd half and Newcastle could well have pinched it.

Fair result. Respect the opposition. Reality check.

Now that's a frustrating result. So dominant yet could not break down their low block. I was surprised by the Siggurdson substitution as he's the one who breaks down the defense through his key passes. A point isn't good enough, now they need three against Watford next week.

We cant blame the ref. Our crossing was rubbish. Wrong subs. Decision making was bad. Gueye should have went off instead of sig. We let a bad goal in.

Poor second half performance. If we had managed to rediscover the tempo leading up to the equaliser it might have been different.

Massive improvement needed attacking set pieces. You usually get lots against these sorts of teams so it’s important to make them count.

Genuinely one of the most frustrating games I've ever watched.

Repeating the same stuff over and over and it not getting any better. Most deliveries were terrible.

Silva got done by Rafael's one tactic. I know it's not easy but feel he should've had another plan up his sleeve. Subs made a difference and he tried putting Mina up there, but then we kept giving it to Digne to whip in when his delivery was poor all game.

Barcodes executed there plan
How come we have so many talented ballers who cannot launch a decent cross - creativity in the last third was so poor from us.

Wake up call to all those saying we are gonna break the top 6 or top 4..... Not enough quality, that evident

Center forward is missing. Richo is a wide player and having him out wide would add to our attack. We need to find a goal scorer and possible second quality goal scorer. Gomes needs to be made a perno. Quality player as in world class

Poor, that. They were all off it really.

I didn't like the defensive change, I don't really think it was needed, and Zouma looked well off the pace. Don't mess with what works at the back please, Marko.

Digne probably had his worst game in an Everton shirt and while I do understand replacing Gylfi, he was the only player who was getting on the ball in the final third for us. Once he went off we didn't have any of the ball on the edge of their box and it was all a bit hit and hope.

Always difficult to respond after the derby but ultimately we didn't do enough tonight, can't argue with a draw.

Our corners/set-pieces were shocking, as was our general crossing from open play.

Wouldn't really know who to give man of the match to, maybe Pickford purely for that save late on, which he did need after the other day.

A bit crap, not the end of the world, but a bit crap.

I don't think it was a confidence issue from the other day, we just looked leggy and the guys that did come in weren't up to it.

First game I didnt watch in some time, but I figure;

Newcastle 10 behind the ball and kicking anyone an everyone.
Aided by the worst ref in the league, Lee Mason slowing the game down at every opportunity.
Everton not having an actual centre forward.

Yep, they had five yellows and that was kind, to go with the six Cardiff got, that's 11 yellows against us in two games. Yet we're the team who keeps getting shafted by the refs.
