Howard

Coleman, Jags, Distin, Baines

Naismith (FFS) Barry, McCarthy, Mirallas

Barkley

Lukaku

is what im expecting the team to be

I'm expecting that too.
Naismith has grabbed 2 in the last 3, so he's fully worth his place.

Bench:

Jelavic
Deleufou
Gibson
Heitinga
Roubles

Not a bad bench, really - Jela, Dela, Gibbo & Heitinga have all been outstanding for at some point or another (obviously early days yet for Dela).

Kone who has only played once and been injured since is never going to start.

Also given the fact Martinez has in interview this week said 'Lukaku is ready to start' id say you have your answer.

Naismith has proved very effective so far under Martinez.... To suggest otherwise would be wrong.

to me, naismith is the weak link, bag of 5hite in an otherwise seriously strong 11.

If deulofeu had a tackle in him he would be in there no question about it, but in the prem we cant have Coleman overly exposed. So, Naismith the durge work horse gets his game.

Genuinely hate him being anywhere near the team

Sometimes having the 11 best technical players doesn't work... Every team needs a coupe of players like Naismith to enable he better players to play.... If we payed 11 barkleys ever week for instance we would get bummed off the pitch every week.

Barkley in goal? FFS Ebepton.

My team for tonight would be;

Howard

Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines

Deulofeu McCarthy Barry Mirallas

Barkley

Lukaku

I dont know where Kone and PIenaar are fitness wise but bench if they are fit;

Joel
Stones
Gibson
Pienaar
Kone
Jelavic
Oviedo

(We have a strong bench, IMO)

Moyes didnt even play Naismith so roll on Pienaar being back in the side and getting mirallas back on the right.

How many 5hite players who run round have arsenal or tottenham got btw? Or if you want to be silly...barca or Bayern munich?

As evertonians we have this love for 5hit players that put a shift in and its small club b0llocks im afraid.

I dont mind if people accept their 5hit. Its when they try to convince others that theyre good players gets me down.

Ya see this is where we differ..... I actually think piennar is tosh and has been for 18 months.

I agree mate, pienaar aint the same player he was. He will still make something happen sooner than Naismith though and Baines isnt the same player without him in front.

Pienaar over Naismith though? easiest decision in football.

...well he's certainly got competition for his place now so it'll be interesting to see if that produces an uplift in form. I suspect he is RM type of player - very comfortable on the ball and able to retain possession. I'd love to see Gerry Delly unleashed to become a real hero, but perhaps that is a bit of fantasy.

He's scored twice in his last 3 games, how many **** players who just 'run around' manage that in the EPL?

No-one is saying he's a world class talent, but he does work hard & he's got a decent strikers instinct & gets himself into some great positions.

Some of the stick he gets on here is harsh imo.

You cant argue with the goals though, and that's why I fully expect him to be starting. He's got those goals by basically gambling on Everton coping with his absence out wide as he constantly drifts inside to inhabit space - looking to get on the end of scraps in, and coming out of, the box (disagree here with you: imo, he's undisciplined and Coleman's game suffers from an attacking pov because of this). His control and vision in general play remain very poor.

Again though, you cant argue with the goals; and no manager is going to cut their nose off to spite their face on that front.

He has an uncanny knack of arriving in the box at the right time ...... You can't teach that ha ha.... If he was played as a second striker he would probably get about 10 - 15 goals a season with good service.
