Todays team has been picked with more than an eye on the Europa second leg. I expect Garbutt, Naismith and Barry /Besic back for that one, with Mirallas on the bench to come on to try to change the game if we need it. Cannot see Baines playing two games in a few days after injury, nor Osman. Gibson is the one who has a chance to play himself into the Europa eleven. Barkley will start on the bench for both games. I love the way on here that some people will criticise the manager whatever he does, implying that they could manage the team better than Martinez, when in fact they don't give the matter and thought at all, just throw verbals around.

Playing two forwards, Osman and Gibson can make good forward passes. McCarthy to take responsibility to anchor midfield. I'm happy with this selection. It looks like we are going to carry the fight to them.
Hopefully the tactics will match the positive selection.
