You guys forget that in the midfield of 3, we have looked better with Gomes than with Siggy.

Siggy is not a CM. Yes he offers more offensively, but we need the stupid 5 yard passes Gomes does unfortunately. Otherwise, Doucoure and Allan won't be able to absorb pressure.without having a technical player available to bail them out.

Our best games of the season featured Gomes in that 433, not Siggy. Mistake

I was thinking of him for his penalty style and reckoning that I'd back Pickford in a shoot out if it came to it. For all his faults he doesn't have a bad save ratio.

Yeah he is far from good, but tactically he is a better fit than Siggy who is more of a 10, especially since James and Bernard don't help much either. Doucoure and Allan are going to be stranded imo

A toss up between Sig and Gomes, I really don’t think there’s much difference in how they both affect a game given Gomes’ current form.
