Alvarez, Foden and Mahrez all rested tonight and ready for Sunday imo.

I think we can cope against those 3 players if we are on top form and pickford having a great game...problem for me is haaland...he can be a treat with long balls in the box something brighton did not have. We nearly got a results last year against them...maybe second time lucky. Plus somehow we managed a miracle draw in their own ground not that long ago.

Anything from this would be a miracle, instead its probably far more important to keep the score close for goal differential. Just being above the drop for the Wolves and Bournemouth games would be huge.

My result for the champions league match tonight , is Real Madrid 5 Man City 5. We get to see a top class football match . And the Man City players are knackered . It will take them just over a week to recover. And they field their second string against us, on Sunday.
But hold on , our record against second string teams , is not great. So what happens on Sunday. Who knows ? Can we turn up , like we did last night? Can Doucoure and McNeil keep scoring goals ? Can Mina and DCL stay fit? Can we keep Keane away from Goodison? I’m even worried when he’s on the bench , he could injure big Simms.
Anyhow, enough nonsense . Play like last night , and we can get a result. Even win this match. But a draw would also be ok. Think that we will see a mixture of a team from City. And that has to help us . Just go for the jugular earlydoors. And we have shown that we can do that. Take their talented kids apart. Along with a few guys that never play much.
Last point , I remember , in the champions league group stages , Man City fielded a mainly reserve team , against a team from Finland. They were awful that night , and drew 0-0. Let’s hope they field something like that team on Sunday. And we turn up. Then who knows. It ain’t over yet folks.
Up the Toffees….

An Everton win which includes someone putting that girlie haired jarg Dixie Dean out for the season would be just spiffing.

God bless.

….we couldn’t ask for a better time to pkay them. In a way, they are similar to Brighton in playing possession football and opening teams up with their quality. Obviously a different level to Brighton but a similar type.

I said 6 weeks ago Brighton away might suit how we play but I didn’t imagine such an emphatic win. We can frustrate City but we’ll really have to ride our luck when they probe. I am of a view it’s really hard for a team to win the Champions League & domestic title, I hope City win ECL but it will be difficult for them to play full throttle this weekend if we are totally committed.

In a way, it’s like an away game. it’s not impossible we can get something.
