I’m just being bullish . Always thinking that we can win football matches. Always thinking that we are better than we really are. Always getting carried away with false dawns , and we never do follow up with another decent performance. But we now need something . From somewhere.

And TBH , I don’t trust Dyche and these players to get anything right. And if a draw with Bournemouth keeps us up , what does Dyche do? You can’t plan for a draw. You can’t set up for a draw . Anything can happen . And knowing our luck , it’s 0-0 at 94 minutes , then Bournemouth score .
So it’s imo , all systems go , to get those two wins. And as you have rightly stated , we don’t win two matches in succession. So I’m thinking that it’s 4 points from these two matches. So let’s beat Wolves first. But who knows with this Everton team.

Awful that we are in this position . And I just don’t trust Sean Dyche to get things right . So we have to try and win these remaining matches. Just hope that the footballing gods are with us. And let’s hope that Leeds utd and Leicester City lose their remaining matches. Just in case we get nothing.

And tbh , I’m floundering here. I really don’t know what to expect. We are all willing this team to play like they did at Brighton . But isn’t that when these players don’t turn up. When we want this team to win , they don’t. When expections are high , it’s down to earth with a bang. So who knows , what is going to happen. Dyche might even reinstate Keane. Anything is possible.
Ramble over . Have a good day folks . Up the Toffees.
Ps. Let’s hope that DCL is fit . But if not , then how about playing both Simms and Maupay up top. See how that goes. Sacrifice Iwobi. If we need goals , then let’s have a proper go. Awful position , as I’ve said , but let’s not go down with a whimper . Let’s give this our best shot . Let’s for a change , show some fight . We are playing two clubs that will be thinking about their summer holidays . So let’s have a proper go at them .
Ramble , now over.
If, God help us all, DCL isn't fit, then I'd prefer Simms and Gray to play up top. It's not convincing, I know, but at least there is a chance of them doing something special on the day. That seems unlikely in Maupay's case...I don't want to be too hard on him but he just doesn't seem able to perform.

That Alex Iwobi is consistently a starter on this team sums up just how [Poor language removed] Everton is...

Via Haaland on Instangram, even in defeat we show class to a world class player

I was thinking , that Maupay is supposed to be a specialist striker. Although , nothing really specialist about him . And I was thinking , that he might perform , playing alongside a big striker . You know , that big striker , little striker combination. Although , on second thoughts , that’s 1970s thinking. But wouldn’t it be something , if Maupay scored the goals , that kept us up. But as you have said , that’s highly unlikely.
I’m just clutching at straws . Awful , that we are stuck , with a striker , that we don’t rate or trust. Just hope that DCL is fit.

My suspicion is that it's a matter of confidence rather than any system. His must be shot. I know some really critical Brighton fans that rate him. Next season he may be able to do a job for us but I can't see any upside to using him in the next two games.

You are spot on . And Gray isn’t really a striker . So it’s young Simms then. Give him a proper run out against Wolves. He was given impossible tasks against Liverpool and Man Utd . Let’s see what he can do against wolves.
But of course , let’s not give up on DCL getting fit.
Ps. I actually thought that Maupay was ok for Brighton . But he’s been rubbish for us . Not the first striker to lose his way , when playing for the mighty Everton.

Praying for DCL...not just to start against Wolves but to keep fit for Bournemouth
