City will see this as an expected win, and will know they'll likely end the day in second place, albeit with a game in hand, if they end up drawing with us.

They will almost certainly rotate, what with knowing a 0-0 draw is good enough versus Madrid next week, just three days after our game.
Away goals don't count anymore in the CL

You reckon we would lose to Bournemouth on the last day but are confident we get something against City??? Honestly do some people have any logical or rational thinking...
When did I say was I was "confident" about a positive result vs City? I said "I reckon" we could get something. Last week I said similar about the Brighton game.
Perhaps you might engage your limited reading comprehension skills prior to responding rudely to others' thoughts and musings.

There couldn't be a better time to play Man City
We've just had an impressive away win that has improved our goal difference and should give our players the confidence that they can score more than one goal a game
They are in the middle of an important cup tie with the next leg only 3 days after they play us. As that tie is still in the balance, it's likely that they will rest some of their better players
Plus, they have a bit of leeway in the Premier league and can afford to drop some points against us - another factor in the likelihood of them resting players!

We're gonna get spanked!!!

You clearly said you were more confident about getting a result against city than bournmouth. Apologies if i was rude but it needs calling out if musings are flawed.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.....
Their game against Carlo's RM has to be top of mind for them. Even if they rotate they will want to ensure no injuries ahead of that game. Clearly there are very fine margins in that CL match-up. Their players coming in are playing for places too.
However, as seen on Monday, our best work comes on the break now that DCL is back so we would likely cede possession to them from the get go. The worst thing we could do is think we are boss after Brighton and go all gung ho against them and let in 5.
The crowd will play an important part and expectations will have to be tempered. A soft draw might suit all here.

I think the moderators should delete your last line and the senior moderator should give you a good spanking!!

City resting players means brining in players who want to prove themselves to Pep and will play to their utmost.
Looking at their second string there’s a lot of talent there wanting to make an impact.

Might not be an advantage after all.
